My Story
Hello, and welcome to TableRead!

I’m Palchhin Mishra, the founder of this platform and a lifelong drama enthusiast. My love affair with theatre began when I was just 4 years old, though my journey into drama was not exactly conventional. Growing up, I was a shy and reserved child, often struggling to express myself or step out of my comfort zone. Drama became my sanctuary - a place where I could explore new worlds, take on new identities, and slowly but surely come out of my shell. Over the years, I have seen first-hand how powerful and transformative drama can be. It helped me build confidence, embrace creativity, and develop skills that I have carried into every aspect of my life.

Since those early years, drama has been a cornerstone of my personal growth and development. I have acted in over 15 plays, taking on roles that range from the commanding Cassius in Julius Caesar to the whimsical Alice in Alice in Wonderland, the loyal Hero in Much Ado About Nothing, and the enchanting Miranda in The Tempest. I have also directed two plays, further fueling my love for storytelling and collaboration. Alongside these performances, I pursued formal training through Trinity College London’s Speech and Drama program, completing Grades 2 through 8 with distinctions at every level. My efforts were nationally recognized when I was honored for achieving the highest marks in Singapore for Grades 6, 7, and 8. Additionally, I studied drama as part of my IGCSE curriculum and achieved an A*, further deepening my understanding of performance, theatre production, and dramatic interpretation.

Despite all these accomplishments, the most rewarding part of my journey has been seeing how drama can transform lives - not just mine, but those of others around me. I have witnessed how the stage can bring out hidden confidence, foster teamwork, and develop essential skills like public speaking, empathy, and adaptability. Drama is not just about acting; it is a transferable skill that can benefit you in all aspects of life, whether you are delivering a presentation, solving problems creatively, or simply connecting with others.
The idea for TableRead was born out of this belief. During my journey, I realized there was not a single platform dedicated to providing resources and support for drama students like me. I saw the need for a go-to space where aspiring actors, directors, and theatre lovers could find inspiration, practical tips, and guidance. TableRead was created to fill that gap — a community where everyone, regardless of their level of experience, can explore and celebrate the transformative power of drama.

At TableRead, you will find curated articles, behind-the-scenes insights, and resources designed to inspire and support you on your theatrical journey. Drama has shaped my life in profound ways, and I am passionate about sharing that experience with others.
